The STOP-SUPPORT service from Virtulex lawyers is only intended for parents or ex-spouses who agree to stop the collection of alimony by Revenu Québec. Alimony can be for the benefit of both a child or a spouse.

To request a service, please send the following information and documentation by email to virtulexavocats@gmail.com:
- Name, address, telephone and email of each parent or ex-spouse
- Picture of the driver’s licence or health card of each parent or ex-spouse
- Copy of the last support order / judgment (you may scan it or take pictures, as long as it is clear)

What are the expected delays?
We will process your file within 10 working days. Subsequently, an administrative delay on the part of the court and Revenu Québec is inevitable. It may take several weeks, or even a few months, for alimony to actually be stopped. Unfortunately, we have no control over this period but the support will be stopped retroactively to the date of filing with the court.
