Virtulex avocats (Virtulex Lawyers) is a law firm based in Gatineau, in Quebec’s Outaouais region, dedicated to civil and family litigation before the courts of Quebec. Founded in 2021, the firm regularly appears before the Superior Court, the Court of Québec, the Tribunal administratif du logement (rental board) and the Court of Appeal of Quebec.

We represent individuals and small businesses in family law (divorce, separation, custody and parenting time, child and spousal support, division of the family patrimony), civil and commercial litigation (contracts, latent defects, civil liability, successions and estates), rental housing law, bankruptcy and insolvency, regulatory penal law and appeals. William Desrochers, a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2012, is also an accredited family mediator, an accredited small claims mediator and a professor at the Quebec Bar School (École du Barreau du Québec).

Our services are available in English and in French. Our clients come from Gatineau and the Outaouais, as well as from the Ottawa area whenever their case falls under Quebec courts. The firm is fully paperless and most meetings can be held remotely, which allows us to act elsewhere in Quebec when appropriate.

We do not take on cases governed by public compensation schemes (CNESST, SAAQ, IVAC) or criminal law matters: our practice is centred on civil and family proceedings before the ordinary courts.
